A single die.
A 4 panel comic featuring a bunch of friends around a table learning to play a board game.
Panel 1.
Close up on a man with long hair, glasses, and a beard (Programmer) reading a rule book titled "BOOTopia". The frame is titled "How to learn a Board Game" and the text "Step 1: Read the Rules" is in a swoopy ribbon label.
Programmer: There are a lot of words here. We're not going to remember all of this if I just read it out.
Panel 2.
Labeled "Step 2: The First Game".
Pull back to the whole table. Two of the players, a woman with wavy hair (Jane) and a man with messy hair (Jim) are on their phones. A woman with a ponytail (Hannah) is leaning in pensively. Programmer is putting the rule book down.
Programmer: That should be enough to get started. This will probably make more sense a few turns in.
Panel 3.
Labeled "Step 3: Mastery".
Jane is leaning intensely saying: Hannah's about to pull of a Wellington Gambit.
Jim looks surprised in the background.
Hannah, joyous: And there's nothing you can do to stop me! Hahahaha!
Panel 4.
Labeled "Step 4: Rereading the Rules".
Cut to a water cooler at an office. Programmer and Hannah are chatting.
Programmer: Turns out we've been playing BOOTopia subtly wrong for years.
Hannah: So... the Wellington Gambit?
Programmer: Not as powerful as we thought. Moisture resets between phases.
